Founder's Blog #27

Hello all,

It is with great pleasure, I can now share the news, if you haven’t seen already, Sportin MS launched it’s brand new Podcast yesterday, with episode 1. It can be found both on our website and Facebook Page, as well as various streaming channels. The response has been overwhelming already. This was not possible without Harry McInley, the charity’s Podcast Manager along with assistance from Jordan Bunyan, whose opinions have contributed to the aesthetics of this project.

Also, making a huge contribution to Sportin MS, Felix Arris by completing the London Marathon on the 2nd October in 4hrs 10 minutes, and after a pre-run social event at King’s Dog Daycare in London. He managed to raise over £4,000. Check out a few pics in the “What’s New” section of the website.

On an MS note, I had another Ocrelizumab intravenous treatment at St. Georges and had more of a reaction than times before. It took me a while to recover both internally and physically which has now led to an MRI scan next month in order to check for anymore lesions, as suggested by my neurologist. This is important because it’s another example of how mentally, one can get lost in MS. It might be just because I am getting older, hormones are changing and I need to monitor how active I am. It will be interesting to see the results.

For those of you who have listened to the podcast, I hope you have enjoyed it, and if so, we would be very grateful if you could share it, particularly with those who have MS or who support family members with this illness. As always, please do encourage anyone and everyone to reach out via our email address, antoinette@sportinms.co.uk

Love to you all

Antoinette
