Hello all,

Season Greetings to everyone and I hope you’re all ready and excited for the days leading up to Christmas.

Boy have I been unwell. For the last month I have gone from a cough to pneumonia, to an infection in my lungs. For those of you with MS or if you are associated with MS sufferers, I have come to realise the importance of the pneumonia jab. However, the timing of receiving it and the eligibility is often based around treatment types and schedule, so please check and discuss with your neurologist – definitely worth a conversation. My next MRI scan will reveal any progression from being unwell but I will definitely be getting both the pneumonia and covid vaccinations next year.

Moving on to better things; as you all know, Davina Arris organised a fantastic Christmas Fayre for Sportin MS on Saturday 16th November at Crockham Hill. It was wonderful - great stalls, great atmosphere, and lots of support. With more funds still waiting to be cleared, Davina has managed to raise £5,000 so far! I cannot thank her enough and her team of volunteers for their dedication to our cause.

Reigate Heath Golf Club has also been fund raising for Sportin MS with various Christmas events and golf challenges – thank-you.

On that note, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to getting in touch in 2025.
