Founder's Blog #31

Hello all,

Before I discuss the month just passed and the plans for the future, if you haven’t had a listen yet, our most entertaining, laugh-out-loud podcast by Nathalie, an MS suffer, was launched last week. The podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and on our website. This one contains some strong language as she reveals the realities of living with MS, the accidents, the anecdotes, all of which are laced with an entertaining layer of humour.

So, tonight is the long awaited Savills fundraising dinner for Sportin MS, mainly possible due to the detailed organisation skills of Sarah Tye and David Robinson, both a huge part of the successful running of Reigate Priory Cricket Club. If you missed out on being part of the evening, our huge annual event for 2023 is the Wild Wild West Dinner and Dance on the 30th June which to date, has very few tables left so get in touch asap if you are interested in joining us on that evening!

As mentioned last month, I presented our charity at the Reigate Business Guild a few weeks ago, and was delighted at how well it went; we have some really promising projects in the pipeline. Most recently, Diane - RM2 Music, and singer Sally Cranham, are both keen to raise awareness of MS and our charity through music. More news to come from there in the near future…

To refer back to my unfortunately named ‘MS Hugs’, I have been booked in for an MRI to gage any progression, be it either in my head or spine. I am still very active and have actually started going to Dancezing Line Dancing classes once a week in Caterham. Obviously this was in preparation for the Wild West event in June, but I have discovered how much fun it is and how capable I am. We should all be trying new things before we decide it’s not possible.

Do always feel free to get in-touch.

Lots of Love

Antoinette
