Hello all,
I know it’s been a while but I decided to take some time off and enjoy the wonderful weather the British summer gave us this year. So many great things have been happening with Sportin MS that I definitely need to share with you all……
As you know, Walton Heath Golf Club welcomed us as their charity this year, and so far, between the Captains, Richard Prophet and Hazel Nicol organising various events and promoting me throughout the club, we have managed to raise over £5,000, and still with more events to come!! More importantly, the members have given me their time and input towards improving the status of Sportin MS.
With that in mind, we are launching our first podcast next month with the objective of sharing MS stories and creating a meeting point – a place to come together and support each other including families living with MS. Harry McInley, the podcast manager has orchestrated an extremely emotional and informative journey. Stay tuned for announcements soon.
Felix Arris, a young, dedicated supporter of our charity, has decided to run the London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October and has been working hard to raise funds for Sportin MS. Savills Estate Agents in Redhill is planning a charity dinner for us soon and more good news: Reigate Priory Hockey Club has agreed to keep us with them for one more year. I am also in the process of arranging our very popular annual event which will hopefully take place in May 2023 – our last event was extremely successful and unfortunately could not facilitate all our supporters, so please keep in-touch either through our email address or on Facebook.
Next month we can tackle the progression of MS, but for now, let’s enjoy all the great things happening in this charity.
